Founder & CEO — Brian R. Dillion
Brian R. Dillion is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bridgeway Aero Tech and a global aviation executive with more than 35 years of experience spanning aircraft leasing, airline operations, asset acquisition, and technical leadership. His career has been defined by building and scaling aviation organizations, leading complex aircraft programs, and bridging technical rigor with commercial and regulatory strategy.
Prior to founding Bridgeway Aero Tech, Mr. Dillion held senior executive roles at leading aircraft leasing and investment firms, including Executive Vice President and Head of Technical at Vx Capital Partners and Senior Vice President and Head of Technical at Vmo Aircraft Leasing. In these roles, he established and led technical organizations from inception, oversaw global acquisition and asset management portfolios, and executed multi-hundred-million-dollar aircraft programs. Notably, he directed the technical execution of a $500+ million freighter conversion program involving 49 Boeing aircraft—the first asset-backed securities transaction comprised entirely of mid-life cargo aircraft.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Dillion was a founding executive at Southern Air, serving as Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering and as the airline’s original Director of Maintenance during FAA certification. He led fleet growth initiatives, aircraft acquisitions, and passenger-to-freighter conversion programs supporting global widebody cargo operations. His experience also includes senior engineering leadership roles supporting diverse fleets and global operations.
Mr. Dillion holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Franklin University, completed coursework in Electrical Engineering at Wright State University, and is an FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic and licensed Private Pilot. He is a long-standing member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) and an Ambassador for Airlink, a humanitarian aviation nonprofit.
He founded Bridgeway Aero Tech to provide independent, technically grounded aviation advisory and asset management services that align engineering realities with commercial and legal outcomes—helping investors, owners, airlines, and counsel execute with confidence and protect asset value.
